If you’re living with type 2 diabetes or prediabetes, you know how hard it can be to manage blood sugar and still enjoy a sweet treat. That craving for something creamy, sweet, and satisfying often leads to options packed with sugar, calories, and carbs—things that can throw off your blood sugar and get in the way of your health goals.
But what if you could enjoy the rich, nutty taste of peanut butter in a snack that’s low in calories, high in protein, and actually supports better blood sugar control?
That’s exactly what this peanut butter protein pudding does. Made with NAKED PB – a premium, one-ingredient peanut butter powder. It takes just 5 minutes to make and delivers all the flavor of traditional peanut butter, without the added sugar or heavy fat content. By mixing it with yogurt, this pudding becomes a creamy, satisfying treat that provides lasting energy and helps maintain steady blood sugar levels.
The Challenge with Traditional Peanut Butter
While peanut butter does contain protein, it also packs approximately 190 calories and 16 grams of fat in just two tablespoons. The creamy, rich texture also makes portion control particularly challenging, making it easy to eat more than you planned. This can be a challenge for people with diabetes, as extra calories can lead to weight gain, and excess body weight can make it harder for your body to use insulin properly. Additionally, many commercial peanut butters contain added sugars and oils that provide minimal nutritional benefits.
Why Peanut Butter Powder Makes a Difference
NAKED PB solves many of those problems. Made from US-grown peanuts that undergo mechanical pressing to remove excess fats and oils, this peanut butter powder delivers authentic peanut flavor with 75% fewer calories and 85% less fat than traditional peanut butter. It’s made from just one ingredient—roasted peanuts—and contains no added sugar, preservatives, or artificial flavors. That means you know exactly what you’re eating, which is important when managing blood sugar.
The nutritional profile is particularly impressive as well. One scoop contains 5 grams of protein and only 5 grams of carbohydrates per scoop, with 2 of those grams coming from fiber.
Why This Recipe Works for Diabetes Management
This protein pudding is ideal for managing diabetes because it uses three key nutritional strategies that help maintain stable blood sugar levels.
High in protein. Thanks to the combination of yogurt and Naked PB, each serving packs over 20 grams of protein. That’s a lot of satisfying, high-quality protein to help keep you full throughout the day. Yogurt also provides probiotics that support gut health, while the peanut powder adds extra plant-based protein, helping to keep blood sugar steady.
Low carb, high fiber. Even though it’s low in carbs, this pudding is a good source of fiber. One scoop of Naked Nutrition’s Naked PB contains 2 grams of fiber–approximately 8% of your daily recommended intake. Fiber slows down how quickly your body absorbs sugar, helping to prevent spikes in blood glucose and keeping you feeling fuller longer.
Simple to make. This recipe is quick and simple to prepare, no matter your skill level. It only takes a few common ingredients and a couple of minutes to make. Despite how easy it is to make, the pudding still delivers rich, creamy flavor with a slightly nutty sweetness, making it both delicious and good for you.
Whether you need a protein-rich breakfast to sustain your morning energy, a satiating snack, or a satisfying dessert that won’t compromise your evening blood sugar levels, this pudding is a flexible, feel-good option that supports your health goals throughout the day.
Why Choose Naked Nutrition’s Naked PB
What sets Naked PB apart from other brands is its commitment to purity and safety. With only one ingredient and no added sugars, artificial flavors, or preservatives, you can be confident about what you’re consuming. This transparency becomes particularly important when managing diabetes, as hidden ingredients can unexpectedly affect blood sugar levels.
Additionally, all Naked Nutrition products, including their powdered peanut butter, undergo independent third-party testing to ensure they meet FDA safety standards and remain well under limits for heavy metals and other contaminants. This rigorous testing provides additional assurance about product quality and safety.
Finding snacks and desserts that satisfy cravings while supporting blood sugar stability doesn’t have to mean sacrificing flavor or enjoyment. This peanut butter protein pudding proves that with the right ingredients and approach, you can create treats that actually work with your body rather than against it. Naked PB makes it possible to enjoy the comfort food flavors you love while staying committed to your health goals.
Small changes in your snacking routine can lead to significant improvements in how you feel throughout the day and how well you manage your diabetes. By choosing protein-rich options like this pudding, you’re not only satisfying immediate cravings but also supporting long-term health outcomes that extend far beyond blood sugar control.
